A job that offers housing, flights, and cars,

But what they seek is painting expertise,

Industrial or automotive, up to par,

And skills to double coat with utmost ease.

Removal of waste and inspection of paint,

But quality is key, never to be cursed,

And following procedures without restraint.

If you have experience, do not delay,

This contract may lead to permanent stay.

Education and years of experience, preferred,

But strong skills and dedication, are revered.

Up to thirty dollars per hour to be earned,

And overtime pay that you have earned.

If you can commute or relocate,

Saskatoon welcomes you, no need to debate.

Eight-hour shifts and evening ones too,

With overtime to compensate what is due.

French not required, flexible language demands,

Väderstad AB sends 450 Custom Stoves to The People of Ukraine

Since 2020 Blueforce Logistics has helped Väderstad North America by sending welders and assemblers to work on their manufacturing floor in Langbank SK.

Over that time Väderstad and Blueforce workers have braved some very cold days, but have always had a comfortable place to work and a warm bed to sleep in.

Because of the war, many of the people in the Ukraine have been left out in the cold, and employees at Väderstad AB (the parent company of Vaderstad North America) realized they could step in and help.

Back in November a group of Väderstad AB employees started a project to manufacture field stones to send to the Ukraine.

Over 450 field stoves have been shipped as well as a diesel generator to help people in the Ukraine get through the winter.

What’s better, Väderstad made the CAD files for the stove publicly available.

Check out the post on LinkedIn here.

View the CAD file here.

Way to go Väderstad!

Thank You from Dave and Telma

To the Blueforce Logistics Team,

As another busy year winds down, we find ourselves grateful yet again for our incredible employees. The Blueforce Logistics team accomplished a lot this year: you built Amazon distribution facilities, assembled enormous air seeders, expertly laid flooring, coordinated multimillion dollar projects, and generally helped diverse industries across North American move forward.

It’s been a difficult few years for many of us, but we have been impressed as always by the level of dedication and resiliency shown by our travelling and local employees. We’re proud to continue growing with our team into a busy 2023, and we promise to continue to focus on providing safe, exciting, and fulfilling work environments.

With an ever-growing list of clients, we expect to offer even more opportunities in the future, and we hope to see you there.

We wish you a happy holiday and a wonderful New Year.

Sincerely,

Dave and Telma

Did You Know about this hidden Blueforce Perk?

Blueforce Logistics has a corporate partnership with Air Canada, and so the vast majority of flights we book for workers are with AC. Every Air Canada flight booking requires an Aeroplan number for the traveler.

So what’s the point? Points. Points are the point because guess who gets the points?

You do. The traveler. The worker.

If you’ve done a few turnarounds with Blueforce these points can really add up and can be used to get a variety of things ranging from Starbucks to gift cards to snow shoes to a speed bag.

Seriously, you can actually get a speed bag with your Aeroplan points.

What’s more, if you are on Blueforce’s Uber travel plan, you can link your Aeroplan card with your Uber app and collect even more.

So get an Aeroplan card if you don’t have one already and don’t sleep on those points! Unless of course you’re using them to buy a pillow…

Who You Gonna Text? This Number!

That was supposed to be to the tune of Ghost Busters, but let’s start with the answer: +18445644844

Repeat after me, who you gonna text? +18445644844

One of the things our workers have told us over the years is that they often don’t know who to talk to in the office for certain things. Who do I talk to about payroll? A flight? Uber? What about calling in sick?

All you have to do now, for any important request, is text this number: +18445644844

And let's be honest, we know that you all love texting, because Blueforce staffers receive a lot of them from you.

While we love hearing from you, we realized that we needed a great system to help our office keep up with our great workers. So when you text this number it creates a record of a request called a ticket, which tracks your request in a system called Zoho Desk.

Zoho Desk is monitored by multiple Blueforce staffers who will make sure that your request goes to the exact right person in the office, lickety-split, so you get the exact help you need!Who You Gonna Text? This Number!

A Pithy Primer on Parcels and Packages

Background on Parcel Distribution

One of Canada’s fastest growing industry, parcel distribution is an offset of the massive e-commerce market driven by major players like Amazon, Wayfair, Walmart, and more. But all those online orders require distribution facilities…and that’s where Blueforce comes in?

What do we do?

By working with both leading conveyor manufacturers and the subcontractors on the ground level, Blueforce has become a leader in proving skilled, reliable workers for this burgeoning industry. We have supplied conveyor installers, ironworkers, logistics personnel, administrative help, millwrights and more to companies across the country. And we have more work coming…a lot more!

How can you get involved?

Becoming a conveyor installer might be a great next step in your career. The workers who have the easiest time adapting to this industry are mechanically inclined, hardworking, and willing to learn. Those with millwright experience can usually make an easy transition, but many of our site leads and most reliable performers were carpenters, assemblers, or welders before they switch to conveyor installations, If you know your way around a socket set, can read blueprints, and work hard on strict deadlines, then this might just be the industry for you!

What safety tickets and other qualifications are required?

Blueforce is always focused on safety. We have policies in place to protect our workers, and all of our partners are just as safety-conscious. That means all required PPE (harnesses, steel toe boots, hard hats, safety glasses, ear protection and more), and a strict adherence to safety qualifications. For most of our sites, that requires WHIMIS, Working at Heights or Fall Arrest, Aerial Work Platform, and 4 Step Awareness. Certain sites require other tickets, but if you need help obtaining any of those above to get to work, just let us know!

Next Steps

If you’re interested in learning more, just email careers@blueforcelogistics.com or call us at 905-997-6669 today to learn more and see if a career in the parcel distribution industry is right for you!
